Certificate of Distinguished Graduate Delivered to Dr. Osvaldo Horacio Wesly Quezada

La Universidad Nacional Pedro Henríquez (UNPHU), through the Directorate of Institutional Experience and Graduate Management, in coordination with the Department of International Relations, recognized as Distinguished Graduate the doctor of medicine Osvaldo Horacio Wesly Quezada, for his active involvement in cutting-edge research with cytokines, monoclonal antibodies and immunology concepts. 

Dr. Wesly has a professional reputation for his specialty in hematology, oncology and bone marrow transplantation. He has extensive experience in hemopathies, monoclonal antibodies and tumor immunology. 

He received the scroll from the academic vice-chancellor, Licda. Patricia Matos Lluberes. 

The event was held in the Academic Vice-Rectory of the university and were present Aldo Erazo, director of the International Affairs Department, and Licda. Laura Pérez, coordinator of the Academic Vice-Rectory.

About Dr. Wesly Quezada

He worked at the University of Wisconsin with Dr. Howard Temin (Nobel Prize awarded) and many other world-famous doctors. He studied with two Nobel Prize awarded at the renowned Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center in Seattle, WA. He completed a special scholarship in tumor immunology at the University of Wisconsin’s Carbone Cancer Center, awarded by Dr. Paul P Carbone himself. The bone marrow transplant fellowship, formed at the Fred Hutchinson Research Center in Seattle, Washington, with the Nobel Prize winner for bone marrow transplant development. 

He has traveled to different locations as a guest lecturer at medical conferences, major round presentations and conferences of guest medical experts and numerous conferences.

Among the awards Dr. Wesly has received, and we highlight, “Professor of the Year” of the SIU School of Medicine and the “Doctor of the Year” award of the National Hemophilia Foundation.
