Graduates become Futsal champions in the 2023 Intramuros games at UNPHU

The team made up of graduates of Universidad Nacional Pedro Henríquez Ureña, was crowned as champion of the tournament in Futsal of the Intramural Sports Games 2023, which was celebrated as part of the activities carried out on the occasion of the 57th Anniversary of the founding of UNPHU. The team won against the Faculty of Sciences, with a final score of seven goals for three.

The graduating scorers were Diego Núñez with a score of three; Che Ramírez, two, while Kelvin Almosni J. and Francisco Olivares, added one point each. The team of professionals used to participate in different tournaments in their student stage.

From the Faculty of Health Sciences, Sebastián Hernández scored two and Raul Roque, one, leaving in third place the team of the Faculty of Humanities and Education, which beat by penalty with four to two after finishing the regulatory time tied at five goals each. This team was composed of Kristina Miranda, Carlos Valderde, Jorge Marte, Mario Rodríguez and Gabriel Bergaglio.

The best scorers of the tournament were: Raúl Roque of Health Sciences with ten; Steling Estévez of Graduates and Juan Carlos Gruning of Medicine, with a point of eight each; Kristina Miranda and Carlos Valverde of Humanities with seven goals; Braulio Núñez of Sciences, Kanarys Duran of Graduates and Juan Collado of Medicine, with six.  

The event was sponsored by AFP Reservas and Gatorade, and six teams representing the different faculties of the university, as well as students of non-core subjects participated.
