UNPHU and LAFISE develop training and business assistance programs for SMEs

Universidad Nacional Pedro Henríquez Ureña (UNPHU) and the LAFISE Multiple Bank signed a collaboration agreement, which aims to train and advise companies participating in the program Connection MSMEs, designed by the Center MSMEs UNPHU, considering the experience it has in developing training programs and strengthening administrative and financial skills.

Through the program, we will be accompanying and assisting the MSME clients of Banco LAFISE who seek to grow and evolve. They will be provided with tools that strengthen the skills and competences of entrepreneurs and beneficiary companies. The program will be carried out following 36 hours of training workshops and a link to the MSME Center therefore each entrepreneur can receive personalized follow-up. It will make a preliminary diagnosis that will allow to assess the individual and collective needs of the participating MSMEs.

The signing was carried out in the rectory of the university, on October 19, 2023, between the Architect Miguel Fiallo Calderón, UNPHU Rector, and Mr. Édgar del Toro, General Manager of Banco Multiplex LAFISE. He was also present by the university, Rubí Breton Bonilla, director of UNPHU Emprende, and Centro MSMEs of the university. On behalf of Banco Multiplex LAFISE, were Hugo Villanueva, vice president of Business and Rodrigo Ortiz, senior manager of Products and Innovation.
