Universidad Nacional Pedro Henríquez Ureña (UNPHU) and the Pedro Martínez Foundation sign a framework collaboration agreement with a duration of 3 years, extendable for equal periods. The objective of this Convention is to establish a framework for action for collaboration between the university and the PMF in activities within specific projects in the field of their common interests, and to enhance mutual relations of academic, scientific and cultural cooperation.
Both institutions have common objectives in the field of teaching and in the development of social responsibility, teaching, cultural and sports activities. With this agreement they seek to develop projects that positively impact children, adolescents, and families in vulnerable conditions, as well as special education and inclusive education.
The signing of the framework agreement took place at the university’s Rectory on June 28, 2022, between architect Miguel Fiallo Calderón, rector at UNPHU and Carolina Cruz Martínez, president of the PMF.
During the signing were present. Josefina Pepín Ubrí, Vice-Rector of Research, Linkage and Internationalization Projects; Neulis Vizcaíno, assistant to the Pedro Martínez Foundation and Francisco José García Perdomo, coordinator of Linkage at UNPHU.

About the Pedro Martínez Foundation
Founded in 1998. Pedro Martínez bought plots for the community project in his native San Miguel de Manoguayabo. During the early years, the foundation provided grants and supported different organizations in the state of Massachusetts.
They work in programs that affect the different areas of the lives of children and adolescents, providing them with a comprehensive education with a focus on the prevention of teenage pregnancy, child abuse and criminal behavior.
