UNPHU Celebrates Professor’s Tropical Holiday

Universidad Nacional Pedro Henríquez Ureña held its Teaching Tropical Festival, with the purpose of celebrating effort and dedication. 46 professors of the academic staff were recognized in the categories of Research Teacher, UNPHU Exemplary Trajectory, Continuous Update, Innovative Teacher, Academic Excellence, Inspiring Professor and Tic Teacher.

The event was organized by the Academic Vice-Rectory in coordination with the Directorate of Curricular and Professor Development, accompanied by the International School of Contemporary Music UNPHU.

The recognitions were given by Architect Miguel Fiallo Calderón, rector of the university and Patricia Matos, Academic Vice Chancellor, who gave the welcome, while the words on behalf of the award-winning professors oversaw Professor German Giovanny Pérez.
The UNPHU International School of Contemporary Music and its Big Band, offered a concert in which the BONYÉ Group participated.  The event was held at the Horacio Álvarez Saviñón Auditorium on July 7, 2023, with the sponsorship of Red Bull.
