UNPHU, DIAR AND CIACT, sign collaboration agreement

Universidad Nacional Pedro Henríquez Ureña (UNPHU), the Dominican Institute of Archeology (DIAR) and the International Advisory Commission on Science and Technology (CIACT), signed a collaboration agreement to join efforts in research and education. The institutions have areas of common interest and agree to develop joint research programs. 

The purpose of this agreement between the institutions is to promote the development of basic scientific and technological research as well as education.

Among the actions to be carried out for the implementation of this collaboration will be exchanges of teachers, researchers, and technical specialists in the short term. They also contemplated the exchange of Egyptian, Dominican, and other students from all over the world; as well as events, congresses, at the national and international levels; on scientific, artistic, technological, and cultural topics. To support this agreement, provision was made for the regular exchange of publications in relevant indexed media and of all generated information.

The signing of the agreement took place in the university’s Rectory on February 13, 2023, between the Architec Miguel Fiallo Calderón, Rector of UNPHU, Kathleen Martínez-Nazar, Director of DIAR and José Manuel Santana, Director of CIACT.

They were present by UNPHU, Josefina Pepín Ubrí, Vice-Chancellor of Research, Linkage, and Internationalization; Dr. Leonor Farray, Vice Chancellor of Postgraduate and Continuing Education and Claudia Acra, Director of Research.
