Universidad Nacional Pedro Henríquez Ureña, through its Faculty of Humanities and Education, held the Master’s Chair in Education Dr. Jacqueline Malagón, entitled “From neuroscience to teaching. Accompanying evolving reading brains,” with the participation of Dr. Laura Virginia Sánchez Vincitore.
In the sixth edition of the master’s chair, the welcoming words of the event and the reading of the likeness of Dr. Malagón where addressed by Geisha Carpio, dean of the Faculty of Humanities and Education, “It is an honor and a privilege to celebrate the chair named for a distinguished graduate, an exemplary educator; we are gathered here to celebrate her inspiring journey that has left a significant path on education … and an unwavering commitment to learning.”
During her speech, Mrs. Malagón said: “The university has created the master’s chair of Education under the name of Dr. Jacqueline Malagón. I feel extremely honored because it allows me to take this opportunity to express not only my gratitude for what the chair means and the support that education from it is provided, because it is a space for the most authoritative voices from the continent and the Dominican Republic, to express their experience in theories and practices, which can enrich above all Dominican teachers or the young people who are being trained to be teachers.»
