Universidad Nacional Pedro Henríquez Ureña (UNPHU), through the Curriculum and Teacher Development Directorate and its Teacher Development Evaluation Unit, carried out the Panel entitled Artificial Intelligence Applied to Education. It highlighted the most significant benefits of AI for education, the ethical challenges faced by teachers and students, as well as the long-term implications in the teaching and learning process.
The panel was attended by experts in the area such as Dr. Teresa Guzmán Lazala, Director of Teaching Development and Educational Innovation at UNIBE and Paloma Yocasta Phillips Carela, UNAPEC teacher. For UNPHU Engineer Cristian Matías, director of the IT Computing Department, Engineer Héctor Santillán, director of the School of Informatics, and José Gilberto Soto, director of the School of Hotels and Tourism.

The opening remarks were given by Engineer Doris Peña, dean of the Faculty of Science and Technology at UNPHU, who highlighted the relevance of the inclusion of Artificial Intelligence in the training processes.
