UNPHU holds the second day of the Present and Future Seminar on Relations with Haiti

The UNPHU Forum for Social Studies held the second day of the Present and Future Seminar on Relations with Haiti, the Challenges of Good Neighborhood. The event is the continuation of the Forum held on January 18 of the current year.

The purpose of this second edition is to provide answers that could lead to beneficial information in the Dominican-Haitian relationship. Architect Miguel Fiallo Calderón, rector of the university was present at the meeting.

The debate was attended by Mrs. Wilfredo Lozano, José Chez Checo, Miguel Guerrero, Nelson Rodríguez, Enmanuel Castillo, Franklin Dominguez, Juan Daniel Balcácer, Persio Maldonado, Nilo de la Rosa and Fernando Pérez Memén. On the part of UNPHU, were present Architect Omar Rancier, dean of the Faculty of Architecture and Arts; Dr. Leonardo Conde, dean of the Faculty of Economic and Social Sciences and Juan Alfredo Biaggi Lama, dean of the Faculty of Legal and Political Sciences. 

The activity is part of the university’s efforts to broaden the discussion of the fundamental issues on the national agenda, within an academic environment and a spirit of cooperation and openness.

The event took place on February 22, 2023, in the Max Henríquez Ureña Hall, Building 4 of the university.
