UNPHU participates in the Dominican University Innovation Fair, Innova 2023

In commemoration of the World Day of Creativity and Innovation, the second edition of Dominicana Innova took place, from April 17 to 28 of this year; academic event that takes place simultaneously in all academic centers of Higher Education Institutions (HEI) with the accompaniment of MESCyT, for the promotion of innovation, talent and creative knowledge in their socio-economic environment.

The university, in coordination with the Vice-Rector’s Office for Research, Linkage and Internationalization Projects, its Linkage Directorate and the Mypimes Center, gave the following talks: Intellectual Property in Your World, by Graciela García; Value Proposition by Iván Alvarado; Marketing and Innovation: How to boost your business in digital media, presented by César Pichardo; Design Thinking: Innovation of business model, by Gabriel Rosario; Sustainable leadership and social commitment, by Katherine Viviana Robles. An innovation project, based on a system for the management of Food Trucks, was also presented by Mr. Deriam Suarez. Each topic presented was focused on Innovation, Linking IES – Business, Technology and Entrepreneurship. 

The objective of the Dominican Innova University Innovation Fair is to promote innovative and entrepreneurial culture in the participants, encouraging them to develop and disseminate innovative products and services that generate added value for the segment to which they are addressed, and that respond to a real need and the resolution of a problem in their socio-economic environment. The Fair seeks to promote spaces where innovators, researchers, academic officials, teachers and students from all educational subsystems, industries, business societies, SMEs, entrepreneurs, research centers and all other actors in the innovative ecosystem and socioeconomic environment of the IES can participate.

The event was held in coordination with the Innovation Cabinet and the Government Office of Information Technologies at the University Innovation Fair.
