Universidad Nacional Pedro Henríquez Ureña (UNPHU) participated in the XXIV International Book Fair Santo Domingo 2022, held in the Colonial City program of the Hall of Universities.
UNPHU was represented by outstanding professionals and collaborators who gave talks for the benefit of society, such as Conversatory on the Colonial Zone by the architects Omar Rancier and Adonis A. Martínez and the sociologist Kin Sánchez; The talk “Santo Domingo, its Trees: Climate change – environmental in the last 50 years, in charge of the Arq. Constantinos Philippos Saliaris, director of the School of Design; “Talk Writing Today Why? For what? For whom? by Alejandro Aguilar, writer and academic; Motivational talk: «Discover your life project, by Hamlet Arias, the university counselor;.»
Likewise, the research on Dentistry was presented: “Prevalence of cleft lip and palate. Experience: Universidad Nacional Pedro Henríquez Ureña and the Foundation “Niños Que Ríen” by Dr. Guadalupe Silva; on Architecture: “Green infrastructure and its contributions to the urban thermal comfort of Gazcue,” by the exhibitors Arq. Julio Peña y Arq. Gilkauris Rojas; on jazz music “Standard of the students of the School of Contemporary Music” Accompanied by Professor Elvin Rodríguez.
The objective of these participations was to provide knowledge and education to society.
The event began on April 22 and ended on May 2.
