UNPHU publishes the books «Manual de Derecho Comercial» (Commercial Law Manual) and «Manual de Derecho Societario Dominicano» (Dominican Corporate Law Manual), authored by Juan Alfredo Biaggi Lama

Universidad Nacional Pedro Henríquez Ureña (UNPHU), through the Faculty of Legal and Political Sciences, launched two law manuals, authored by the university professor and judge of the Superior Electoral Court, Juan Alfredo Biaggi Lama; who is also the dean of the Faculty of Legal and Political Sciences.

During the release, the jurist and writer said: «With a heart full of gratitude and with God, for allowing this effort and dedication for so long to come to light, thanks to Universidad Nacional Pedro Henríquez Ureña and everyone present for the participation in this humble contribution to the legal and business community of the Dominican Republic. These texts seek to be documented and to be at the forefront, with the most recent and instructive reasoning in commercial and corporate matters.”

The event was attended by personalities linked to the legal world, officials, judges, prosecutors, university professors and experts in commercial law of the Dominican Republic; in addition to the rector of the University architect Miguel Fiallo Calderón; Magister Judge Ygnacio Pascual Camacho Hidalgo, President of the Superior Electoral Tribunal; Magister Judge, Julián Vargas, prologist of the Manual de Derecho Societario Dominicano; Edward Piña, prologist of the Manual of Commercial Law and who was represented at the event by Gustavo Alberto Biaggi Pumarol, and Mr. Ángel Potentini, editor and president of the International Law Library, where the manuals will be available.

The launch took place on March 23, 2023, at the north side of the Horacio Álvarez Saviñón Auditorium, of this high school house.
