UNPHU recognizes Dr. Claudio Virgilio Vázquez Colomo as a distinguished graduate

Universidad Nacional Pedro Henríquez Ureña (UNPHU), through the Directorate of Institutional Experience and Graduate Management in coordination with the Department of International Relations, recognized Dr. Claudio Virgilio Vázquez Colomo as Distinguished Graduate; for his outstanding achievements and professional career, as well as his notable contributions to society.

The recognition document was handed over from the rector of the university, Architect Miguel Fiallo Calderón at the event, that was in the rectory of the university on December 5, 2023; present at the ceremony where Aldo Erazo, Director of International Affairs and Elizabeth Severino, Graduate Coordinator, 

About Dr. Claudio Virgilio Vázquez Colomo

Degree in Medicine and Surgery from UNPHU (1995-2001). In addition to his specialty in Sports Traumatology and Orthopedic Surgery, he has two Masters in Sports Traumatology from the UCAM and in Pathology of the Locomotor System of the University of Jaen. He holds the title of Expert in Sports Nutrition, obtained by the University of Rioja, in 2015.

In 2020 he was recognized with a FIFA Diploma in Football Medicine and a FIFA Fair Play Award (Jesolo, Italy, 2014). He is an active member of the Spanish Society of Sports Traumatology (SETRADE); the European Society of Arthroscopy, Knee Surgery and Sports Traumatology (ESKKA); the Spanish Society of Arthroscopy (AEA); and the Andalusian Society of Traumatology and Orthopedic Surgery (SATO).
