UNPHU welcomes new students

Universidad Nacional Pedro Henríquez Ureña held the welcome meeting for new students, corresponding to the academic period September-December 2023, as part of its Reception Program. The activity, for guidance purposes, was aimed at facilitating the adaptation and integration of the student to university life and offering him the opportunity to familiarize himself, to know the essence of the institutional philosophy: its mission, vision and values. At the event, they were also presented with the educational model and the many services offered by the university campus.

During the activity, each area led by the corresponding staff, explained the processes and services offered to support the student. Relevant information was also provided to integrate them in the beginning of their university life.

The main words were given by Rector Arq. Miguel Fiallo Calderón; the words of welcome were in charge of Cristina Taveras, director of admissions, while Patricia Matos, academic vice chancellor, was in charge of motivating students and the dean of Student Welfare, Adrián De Oleo, presented the Welfare Policy, the areas and the staff of the deanship.

This event took place on August 31, 2023, at the Horacio Álvarez Saviñón Auditorium.
