UNPHU welcomes the visit of CELABIH Executive Director

The Faculty of Health Sciences of Universidad Nacional Pedro Henríquez Ureña (UNPHU), received the international visit of Sandra Fabregas Troche, PhD, executive director of the Latin Center of Bioethics and Humanities (CELABIH) based in Puerto Rico, accompanied by Dr. Togarma Rodríguez, professor and adviser of Ethics and Bioethics at UNPHU.

During the visit, various topics were analyzed related to the training in graduates and masters of human resources in communication, health, bioethics, history of West Indian medicine and the new paradigms in training in the area of pharmacology.

The Dean of the Faculty of Health Sciences, Dr. William Duke, welcomed this important visit and mentioned that CELABIH and UNPHU have an inter-institutional agreement since 2020, to strengthen and train with courses, diplomas, master’s degrees and research in Bioethics and Humanities, at national and international level. 

These trainings in Continuing Education will be carried out in a program to be developed in 2023, with the support of both institutions.
