UNPHU will award Honorary Doctorate to President Luis Abinader Corona

Universidad Nacional Pedro Henríquez Ureña (UNPHU), will award the title of Doctor Honoris Causa to the President of the Dominican Republic, Luis Abinader Corona, who will be recognized for the firm and successful fight for the preservation of the health of our people, in the face of the Covid-19 Pandemic, its successful management of the post-pandemic economic recovery and consequent global crisis.  As well as for their determined fight in the local and international spheres, for the defense of our Dominican nationality. 

The corresponding badges will be presented to him in a ceremony that will be held on February 1, 2024; in the Horacio Álvarez Saviñón Auditorium of the university.

The Doctorate Honoris Causa, is the highest distinction that the university grants to a person, in recognition of their merits and trajectory in the academic, scientific or cultural field; their values, and their special relationship with the university, or with the country.

UNPHU is proud to grant this recognition to Luis Abinader Corona, for the above-mentioned merits.
