Ambassador of Israel Raslan Abu Rukun visits UNPHU facilities

Universidad Nacional Pedro Henríquez Ureña (UNPHU) received in its facilities the Ambassador of Israel, Mr. Raslan Abu Rukun, who was welcomed by Rector Architect Miguel Fiallo Calderón, accompanied by Mr. Aldo Erazo, Director of the Department of International Affairs.

At the meeting they discussed future collaborations in the areas of education related to Artificial Intelligence, Agronomy and Medicine. Mr. Raslan Abu Rukun was recognized as a Distinguished Guest of the university.

During his stay he toured by the different facilities of the university campus, and was presented with the wide academic offer, facilities and benefits offered by the institution.

Raslan Abu Rukun, speaks five languages. He served as the Jewish state’s ambassador to Egypt. He previously served as deputy general consul at the Consulate of Israel in the Mid-Atlantic region, which serves Pennsylvania, Ohio, Delaware, Kentucky, West Virginia, and southern New Jersey.
