Dr. William Duke, decano de la Facultad de Ciencias de la Salud de la UNPHU
The Dean of the Faculty of Health Sciences of Universidad Nacional Pedro Henríquez Ureña (UNPHU), Dr. William Duke, gave the Master’s Lecture “New paradigms in medical education with competencies in ethics and bioethics in the Dominican Republic”, at the University of Tuskegee, Alabama, in the United States. The event took place on Monday, March 20, 2023.
The meeting was attended by UNPHU graduates, such as Dr. César Fermín, who was rector of the University of Tuskegee; Dr. Leandro Mena, distinguished graduate, director of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) of the department of STI, HIV, Hepatitis and TB.
The activity was hosted by Dr. Channa Praskas, PhD., dean of Arts and Sciences, professor, and researcher at the University of Tuskegee; an institution that was considered «one of the best American universities» by U.S. News & World Report, one of the most influential magazines in the United States, obtaining the sixth position.
During the visit of Dr. Duke, raised the possibility of establishing an international institutional agreement between both universities, which will strengthen the country in various topics of higher education and especially research, ethics, bioethics, among others.
