Director of IDEICE Dr. Carmen Caraballo, visits UNPHU

Universidad Nacional Pedro Henríquez Ureña received the visit of the executive director of the Dominican Institute for Evaluation and Research of Educational Quality (IDEICE), Dr. Carmen Caraballo, who was received by the university’s authorities, led by rector Architect Miguel Fiallo Calderón.

During the meeting, Dr. Caraballo presented a proposal on the most innovative programs promoted by the institution with the different academic entities of the country. The purpose of the visit was to strengthen relationships and motivate educational research.    

Dr. Caraballo was accompanied by representatives from the different areas of IDEICE: Julián Álvarez, Director of Evaluation and Research; and the managers Ginia Montes de Oca, Research; and Dilcia Armesto, Center for Information Management and Documentation.

Also present were by the university, the academic vice-chancellor, Patricia Matos; the dean of the Faculty of Humanities and Education, Geisha Carpio; the coordinator of the Research Unit of the Academic Vice-chancellor, Miguel Ángel Moreno; and the directors: Claudia Accra, Research; José Ramón Suriel, School of Education; Eloísa Marrero, Central Library at UNPHU and Alejandra Flores, representing the Vice-chancellor of Postgraduate, Leonor Farray.

About the IDEICE

It is the first public institution in the Dominican Republic, with a technical character, dedicated entirely to the evaluation and research of educational quality and to the proactive dissemination of findings that promote better primary and high school education in the country.
