The SIN Group and UNPHU make donations to Sur Futuro for distribution

The SIN Group and UNPHU gave to the Foundation Sur Futuro the donations received from Saturday 24 to Friday 30 September, to contribute to the victims of Hurricane Fiona. With this installment, the first stage is concluded, and the second stage of this Social Responsibility Project begins.

Donated items are: non-perishable foods such as canned goods, milk powder, pasta, water, clothes, shoes, mattresses, disposable diapers, sheets, towels, mosquito nets, medicines and other necessary items.

The delivery was made to Mrs. Melba de Grullón, president of the Sur Futuro Foundation, by Ms. Jessica Hasbún on behalf of Mr. Fernando Hasbún, president of Grupo SIN, next to the Architect Miguel Fiallo Calderón, rector of Universidad Nacional Pedro Henríquez Ureña (UNPHU).

“This initiative aims to support so many families who lost their belongings. The SIN Group, the Fundación Sur Futuro and UNPHU, thank the private institutions, the population for the generosity shown in this important operation,” said Rector Architect Miguel Fiallo Calderón.

Mrs. Melba de Grullón expressed her appreciation and indicated that the donations will reach the communities and people in need. Meanwhile, Mrs. Hasbún thanked UNPHU and Fundación Sur Futuro for supporting this day.

The Director of Environment and Natural Resources of UNPHU, Dolly Martínez, who oversaw this social work, indicated that during the days that the operation was carried out the collection center has had a positive response from the population, manifesting itself in the large amount of donations received. As well as the support of UNPHU student volunteerism and the schools that joined this work.
