Universidad Nacional Pedro Henríquez Ureña (UNPHU), announced the approval of nine of its proposals for scientific research projects, in the call of the National Fund for Innovation and Scientific and Technological Development (FONDOCYT) 2022.
Of the scientific research projects submitted by the Vice-Rectory Research, Link and Internationalization Projects, the winners were: four of Science and Technology, three of Health Sciences, one of Architecture and Arts; and a proposal of Agricultural Sciences and Natural Resources.
Among the scientific research projects awarded are the “Evaluation of Thermal Behavior and Energy Consumption of Typological Housing Models in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic‘’, and ‘’Artificial Intelligence and Personalized-Adaptive Gamification for Programming Training”, among others.
UNPHU is one of the universities with more projects approved in the 2022 call, which will be funded by FONDOCYT.
The notification of the winning proposals was made through a communication addressed to the Claudia Acra Despradel, Director of Research.

It was created with the aim of developing and financing activities, programs and projects for innovation and scientific and technological research, as well as establishing a system for the permanent promotion of national scientific and technological research.
