UNPHU Graduate School graduates first masters in unique programs in the country and the Caribbean

The Post Graduate School of Universidad Nacional Pedro Henríquez Ureña, awarded the first degrees of the Master in Museum Studies, a unique program in the Caribbean, which arises due to the need to train professionals with knowledge and skills that allow them to organize, manage and direct museums. To the eight graduates, who were awarded scholarships by the Ministry of Culture; the program allows them to specialize in four different areas of concentration: museum studies, research, management, and humanities. The Master’s Degree has the academic endorsement of the International Council of Museums (ICOM).

Similarly, four other degrees of the master’s degree in Administrative Law and Public Management, a unique program in the country, were awarded to public employees of different administrations, and to professionals working in different fields who wish to expand their knowledge of the functioning of public administrations and their management.  The graduates received a scholarship from the Ministry of Public Administration (MAP).

It’s the first graduation of these two master’s programs. The event took place at the celebration of the 160th Ordinary Graduation, celebrated on April 21, where 50 degrees of masters and specialists in different areas were delivered.

About the master’s in Museum Studies

The aim of the program is to study and propose cooperation, sponsorship, and exchange of experience projects at the international level, and to stimulate relations with ICOM and its International Committees. 

About the Master’s Degree in Administrative Law and Public Management

This program seeks to make known the essential elements that allow understanding the need for compliance with the law of public administration, and the administrative operation and specificities of legal-administrative traffic.
