Two students at the School of Odontology of Universidad Nacional Pedro Henriquez Ureña (UNPHU) were awarded at the VI Student Congress of Scientific and Technologic Research (CEICyT).
The essential goal of CEICyT is to contribute to the growth and strengthening of the Dominican scientific community, inspire college students to see themselves as researchers and understand that their effort is vital in providing sustainability to a system of science and technology significantly contributing to the national development.
During the press release, Mrs. Josefina Pepin, vice-rector of Projects of research, Vinculation and Internationalization at UNPHU indicated, that students Chabeli Sánchez Tavarez, with the research project “Analysis of the final condition of endodontics treatments performed at the Odontology clinic Dr. Rene Puig Bentz, term 2018-2019” and Menfis Winnifer Ávila Batista, submitting the work “Comparative Study of tow techniques minimally invasive for the resolution of moderated fluorosis in accordance to Dean, on students of Liceo Romilio Mendez in Barreras, Azua, Dominican Republic.”
UNPHU submitted 17 research works in this edition, and all were accepted, eight from the School of Odontology, one from the School of Chemistry, and eight from the School of Education.
For this edition, a total of 135 works from local and international universities participated, and thirty of them were awarded.
The VI edition of CEICyT was held on September 15 and 16, virtually, under the Department of Superior Education Science and Technology (MESCyT) and Universidad del Caribe (UNICARIBE).
