UNPHU Team of Athletes Participate in National University Basketball Tournament

The basketball team of Universidad Nacional Pedro Henríquez Ureña participated in the National University Basketball Tournament, October 7-8, 2023, with a showdown full of achievements and emotions.

The UNPHU women’s squad showed their strength and determination on the pitch, facing ISFODOSU on Saturday 7, in a thrilling match that culminated in victory with a score of 38 to 31. The men’s UNPHU team also competed against ISFODOSU on the same day, a match that also culminated in a 48-44 victory, in which teamwork and determination were key to the result.

On Sunday, the players continued their winning streak by facing the UTESA team. The final score reflected another impressive victory for UNPHU, with a result of 46 to 15, consolidating their position. Meanwhile, the men’s team, despite their hard work, fell this time, although with an adjusted result of 47 to 52.
